We’re all eagerly awaiting High Stakes Poker Season 7, and we’re all hoping for the return of Sam Farha on the Golden Nugget felt. We’ve all come to love Sammy’s style, and we’ve all come to hate the standard clashes from the last two seasons. Come on GSN, STAKE SAMMY FARHA IF YOU HAVE TO BUT GET HIM IN THAT GAME!

Sam Farha not in High Stakes Poker Season 6

We just got word from our connections within GSN that Sammy Farha will NOT, I repeat, NOT be playing in High Stakes Poker Season 6. I feel pretty bad about the news, as obviously Sam is great for the show, but I suppose he has his reasons not to play in this very juicy new season of the best cash game poker available on the internet.

Players we will be seeing include Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen, David Benyamine, Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth Jr., Eli Elezra and Mike Matusow…

I love this. Sammy makes a small flush on a board that had him drawing very thing, and when getting a comment on playing the nine six off suit for a $2,500 raise from Eli Elezra, he makes a classic Sammy-reply:

“Buddy the game is on OK. Please don’t give me bad comments about the bad cards I play. That’s what she gave me — she didn’t give me aces.”

Haha this is the best ever news IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD (OF POKER). Season 5 of High Stakes Poker will be featuring… Pot Limit Omaha in stead of No Limit Hold’em!

Sammy will absolutely love this. HIS game, in HIS show.

Season 5 High Stakes Poker

Okay so I read about half a year ago that Season 5 of High Stakes Poker would be starting…. March of April 2008.

Now, today is June 2nd 2008, and guess what? No High Stakes Poker Season 5 yet… It got me thinking (and talking during our home game), and we decided that they’re probably holding back on us to RELEASE A MAYHEM OF A GAME once they do get it out.

They’ve tried to top the game every year, keeping the blinds ridiculously small, but as they’re is no cap it kept people coming. Sounds logical, but the players just counterfeited the baby-blinds by straddling (and double-straddling). Anyway, my guess is they’re going to at least have a Million-Dollar buy-in game, and they’re going to double the blinds, AND the antes.

We’ll see bigger pots, it’ll attract big pot players like Sammy, Daniel Negreanu, Jamie Gold or Eli Elezra, and it’ll be great TV.

GREAT TV.

I can’t wait.

Sammy Farha: “What goes around, comes around”

Not the most exciting video from GSN I’ve seen, but worth a watch as you get a view of a somewhat nervous Sammy Farha before the game starts…

“Sometimes we all make mistakes, we’re not geniusses. But there’s players that have your number. You will never beat them. Even if you have the best out of it — or the worst of it. You can’t beat them. What goes around comes around.”

Sammy’s King High $500k all-in move, with the best hand!

Now this is where Sammy shows his gamble, and his instincts. With the king high flush draw, he calls Patrick Antonius’ all-in, worth about $500k. Not only is that one of the most amazing calls I’ve seen with no pair (simply considering the numbers, obviously) — he actually has the best hand going in.

Patrick gets lucky when they run it 4 times, and the best hand ends up only taking 25% of the pot.

Too bad — but excellent poker by Sam Farha!

Sam Farha and Eli Elezra: Fireworks Poker

Eli Elezra talks about him and Sam Farha, both bluffing at a pot pre-flop. He also talks about the action that always enrolls when he and Sammy are at a table together.

Eli talks about Sammy with a lot of respect. He doesn’t say “I like to play with Sammy” because Sammy is easy. No, he likes to play with Sammy because Sammy pushes the price of poker up… Good video!

This vid shows Sammy at his best once again. His whole composure is just awesome, and Phil Hellmuth shows he’s still a brat. He does call out Sam’s hand, but oh well, that’s not rocket science.

Sam Farha Raisy Daisy’s In The Dark

This is how we all love Sammy. He plays the WHOLE HAND in the dark, and pretty much extracts the maximum from Bob Safai and Phil Hellmuth, who call the raise with inferior hands.
