Sammy gets sucked out on in WSOP 2006

February 10th, 2008

Looking at this hand just pains me. As a No-Limit Hold’em playe, these are the kind of situations you dread — flopping a set, making your full house, and being up against quads… No way Sammy can escape this hand — pure torture. Unlucky. :)

Sammy looks so happy when he gets the call — I really do feel bad for ‘m. :)

Sammy Farha: “What goes around, comes around”

February 1st, 2008

Not the most exciting video from GSN I’ve seen, but worth a watch as you get a view of a somewhat nervous Sammy Farha before the game starts…

“Sometimes we all make mistakes, we’re not geniusses. But there’s players that have your number. You will never beat them. Even if you have the best out of it — or the worst of it. You can’t beat them. What goes around comes around.”

Anything but giving up!

January 18th, 2008

I’ve been getting more and more response on the site — more people are letting me know they think this website is not just my quest, but also a nice tribute to Sammy.

I’ll be working hard to add more videos, more content and more links — to really turn this into a Sam Farha tribute too!

In the mean time, I’m OBVIOUSLY not giving up on my quest to go gambling with Sammy. Giving up never helped anyone. ;)

Sammy’s King High $500k all-in move, with the best hand!

December 25th, 2007

Now this is where Sammy shows his gamble, and his instincts. With the king high flush draw, he calls Patrick Antonius’ all-in, worth about $500k. Not only is that one of the most amazing calls I’ve seen with no pair (simply considering the numbers, obviously) — he actually has the best hand going in.

Patrick gets lucky when they run it 4 times, and the best hand ends up only taking 25% of the pot.

Too bad — but excellent poker by Sam Farha!

The famous AK vs QJ between Farha & Hellmuth

December 24th, 2007

This hand has been talked about so many times when Sammy and Phil Hellmuth meet. Phil still feels Sammy played this hand bad, I still feel Phil Hellmuth played this hand like a complete donkey and pretty much handed the hand over to Hellmuth.

Obviously, Phil could have lost more by betting the flop, but who knows — Sammy COULD have layed it down (even though not very likely, but still). Right now, Phil gave Farha a freecard, allowing him to draw at his flush for free…

Result: Sammy extracts $130k more from the pot — which is quite the success! :D

What do you think? Was that such a bad call pre-flop? ;)

A dead end…

December 19th, 2007

One of the e-mails I got off one of the visitors of this (ever growing hehe) website is starting to look like a dead end. Too bad, as I really was hoping it could help bring this website to Sammy’s attention.

Anyway — with Christmas coming up I’ll probably be offline for some time, BUT: I’ll be back trying to convince Mr. Farha when the new year starts. Wish me luck! :)

Still working hard — still no results

December 9th, 2007

I’m not giving up, but I still have no real progress to notify you of. It’s all going relatively slow, but I’m still positive and I’m still hoping this’ll go down one day…

I’ll keep you posted of any news I have! Thanks for the support — there are more and more sites linking in to Please Mr. Farha, and that’s a good start! :D

Good news from the PR department

November 29th, 2007

Excellent news from the PR department! More and more websites are starting to link to pleasemrfarha.com — which pretty much means more and more people are finding their way to this website too. It’s still tough to get people here — but it’s looking good!

I’m still extremely positive, by the way. Still hoping Sammy finds out about the site soon, and still hoping for a positive response! :)

I’ll keep you posted in the mean time, hehe.

Sam Farha and Eli Elezra: fireworks poker

November 17th, 2007

Eli Elezra talks about him and Sam Farha, both bluffing at a pot pre-flop. He also talks about the action that always enrolls when he and Sammy are at a table together.

Eli talks about Sammy with a lot of respect. He doesn’t say “I like to play with Sammy” because Sammy is easy. No, he likes to play with Sammy because Sammy pushes the price of poker up… Good video!

Slowly but surely…

November 17th, 2007

Sammy Farha 2006 wsopI’m not giving up, obviously. I’ll keep repeating that. Count on me being here next year, trying to meet Sammy, even if by then I’m still just reaching a couple of people each day. Still though, we are constantly reaching a little more….

Last week was a new record high visitor count, and we seem to be raisy daisying the bar a little each week. Great! If you’re here, leave a message, it’s great to get feedback (and help, off course! LINK TO ME!!!!) ;)
